Chacha Chakan (1926) is a hilarious comedy of plays for children with themes of satire and humour. Chacha Chakan is considered the funniest character in Urdu drama.
Chacha Chakan,  is similar the famous character ‘Uncle Podger’ of the English dramatist Jerome. He is a very funny character who thinks that he is very good in every job, but actually he, always, makes blunders and makes situations worse.

This character has been brought to life by writer Syed Imtiaz Ali Taj. He was a dramatist and he is remembered above all for his 1922 play Anarkali, based on the life of Anarkali, that staged hundreds of times and was adapted for feature films in India and Pakistan, including the Indian film Mughal-e-Azam.
