Raazdaan is someone who keeps one’s raaz or secrets, someone you confide in with your innermost thoughts and secrets, hence someone close to you
Raqeeb is one’s rival in love (someone who loves the same person as you)
And here is Ghalib connecting these two so seamlessly in the couplet below:
Zikr Us Parivash Ka Aur Phir Bayaan Apna
Ban Gayaa Raqeeb Aakhir Thaa jo Raazdaan Apna
At the mention of that angel-faced beauty, his expressions of love and praise (for her) came forth (in abundance)
He is now my rival (in love), who was my confidante earlier
