Khafa – displeased/ upset or angry.

The word Khafa is used in a song called ” Tumhari Nazar kyun Khafa ho gayi” from the film ‘Do Kaliyaan’. The lyrics were written by Sahir Ludhianvi, music composed by Ravi and the song was sung by Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar.

Few lines from the song with its translation are given below:

Tumhari Nazar Kyun Khafa Ho gayi,

Khata Baksh do Gar Khata Ho gayi,,

Humara Iraada toh Kuch bhi na tha,

Tumhari khata khud saza ban gayi

Why did your glance become upset,

Forgive me if i have made a mistake,

I did not have any such intentions,

Your mistake itself became a punishment
