Ittefaaq means coincidence
Given below is a beautiful couplet written by Sahir Ludhianvi which incorporates the word Ittefaaq
gar zindagii men mil gaye phir ittefaaq se
poochhenge apanaa haal teri bebasi se ham
Coincidently if we meet in life again,
I will ask your helplessness, the reason for my current condition
The Daily Ittefaq: The Daily Ittefaq is a Bengali daily newspaper. It is one of the most circulated newspapers in Bangladesh. This newspaper is printed by Ittefaq Group of Publications Limited.
Am I right to understand that Itefaaq can also be used to represent introduction? As in when one says “Iss se pehle aap se itefaaq nahi hua hai”.
“I will ask you the condition of your helplessness” doesnt seem right translation
