Tawaqqo means expectation and Khastagi means injury



Here is a couplet from the ghazal Hazaron Khwahishein Aisi by Mriza Ghalib that uses this lafz, amongst other interesting lafz which are explained below:

hui jinse tawaqqo khastagi ki, daad paane ki
vo hamse bhi zyaadaa Khastaa-e-teg-e-sitam nikale

Daad means praise, appreciation; Khasta: broken/injured; teg-e-sitam: sword of cruelty

From those whom I expected praise for my wounds; Turned out to be even more injured by the same cruel sword
