Irshaad means a command or an order given to someone.
Irshaad is typically used in urdu shayari for encouraging the person who is about to say a couplet/sher or a poem. The speaker typically starts by saying “Arz Kiya Hain” which indicates the start of a couplet/sher or a poem, in a sense taking permission from the listener to begin. And he is given the response of ‘Irshaad’.
