Urduwallahs kicked off the Literature fest on February 2, 2013, as part of the annual Kala Ghoda Art Festival in Mumbai, – with Manto-naama, an evening with Saadat Hasan Manto. The evening was an interesting mix of readings of Manto’s stories by Suhail Akhtar Warsi, Om and Asad Husain, along with a video clip of a story read by our partners from Karachi, Pakistan – Zambeel Dramatix Readings (refer the ‘We Recommend’ section for more details), interspersed with audio and video clips, as we took the audience on a journey through the prolific Urdu short story writer’s life, in Urdu and English.
