The Times of India Crest Edition carried a very interesting article yesterday titled “Moving finger moves on” featuring a painting exhibition by Vikram Seth (best known for his novel, A Suitable Boy) wherein he has used calligraphy art from different scripts (Devanagari, Chinese and Urdu) around the Absolut vodka bottle. One of the paintings uses the Nastaleeq font in Urdu (image on left) to say “Na main, na mai” meaning “Neither I remained nor the wine”.
